Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek

Dhaulagiri (8167meters), the world's seventh highest peak, rises majestically from Kali Gandaki valley. Dhaulagiri circuit trekking is best suited for those who aspire for the challenging adventure trekking in Nepal. Around Dhaulagiri Trekking begins from the lowland inhabited by brahmins and chhetris and enters into the settlements of magars and gurungs (who are famous for Gurkha soldiers) as the trek gains altitude. Then the trek follows glaciers and crosses high snowcapped passes, proving a challenging of trekking in the remote areas.

Walking through the pristine valleys, traditional villages, glaciers of Dhaulagiri, French & Thapa Pass that offer awesome scenery of Dhaulagir ranges, Annapurna ranges, Nilgiri and the deepest gorge, Kaligandaki simply make Dhaulagiri circuit trekking ever lasting memories of trekking in Nepal. We descend into the wild and untravelled valleys with possible sights of Thar (blue sheep). Then the trail crosses over Thapa La Pass ( 5250m) with exceptional views of the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the deepest gorge in the world and then steep descend to a valley and finally to Pokhara.

Note: Kathmandu – Lukla - Kathmandu flight may be delayed by few hours or even cancelled due to bad weather condition. You should be prepared for such flight delays or cancellations. We will do our best to avoid such conditions. In case of flight cancellation, we will try to get you on the flight for the next day. Getting early flight for the next day may be not possible during the high season. We can arrange flight by helicopter as well with extra cost. If we have a group of 4- 5 people, we can charter helicopter for you to fly from Kathmandu - Lukla or vice versa. It will be advisable to have extra days in Kathmandu before and after the trekking. Trek Himalayan Adventure can arrange you cultural / adventure tours ( such as sightseeing tours, rafting, jungle safari, ) with extra cost if the extra days are not used for the flight conditions to Lukla and back. If the flight is delayed and cancelled for several days which could disturb your onward journey, you are free to choose trekking in Annapurna, Langtang and other regions.Great Himalayan Guide will arrange the alternative trek for you as soon as possible.
