Sailung Trek

Sailung Trekking is Non Tourist Area which provides fantastic panoramic view of the Himalaya just drive to the Dolakha (Mude) from Kathmandu, side is eastern part of Nepal and you will arrive in Lamche Pokhari from where commence the trek for Sailung to the low land area of close eastern part of the Katmandu. Main highlight of Sailung Trekking is to see the magnificent views of eastern part of Himalayas of Nepal and encounter with several different ethnic people and interesting experience about socio-economic situation, life style and their professions. Specially, people like this area very much who are interested to visit to the non-tourist area for the nature and culture both.

    • Day 01: Arrival at Tribhuban International Airport (T.I.A) and pick up by our private vehicle and transfer to the Hotel.

      Day 02: Full day guided sightseeing in Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and Patan Durbar Square.

      Day 03: Kathmandu to by Bus to Mude Bazar O/N Camp.

      Day 04: Mude Bazar to walk Dhunge Bazar O/N Camp.

      Day 05: Dhunge Bazar to Dharma Gompa O/N Camp.

      Day 06: Dharma Gompa to Bag Dhunga O/N Camp.

      Day 07: Bag Dhunga to Chahare Village(Special for Tamang Culture) O/N Camp.

      Day 08: Chahare Village to Thagum Village O/N camp.

      ( Note : This trip can be extended by including 2 days rafting on Sunkoshi River.)

      Day 09: Thagum Village to Lamosanangu Dam for White Water Rafting.
      We will drive to Lamosangu, which lies to the east of the capital valley of Kathmandu (about 95 kilometres) and reach the put-in-point of Lamosangu Dam. We will pass through rural settlements, rivers and forests. While on the way, we will have spectacular view of mountains such as Ganesh Himal and Langtang. We go for the raft up to 10 km of the most exciting stretch of the river and then return to the camp at Lomosangu Dam.

      Day 10      : Lomosangu Dam – Dolalghat - Kathmandu
      After having breakfast, we go to challenge with the water of the river in the upper section. Lunch will be served on the sandy river beach. Our exciting river journey will continue till 2-3pm. As we reach the exit point at Dolalghat Bazaar, we will catch our bus and come back to Kathmandu

Note: Kathmandu – Lukla - Kathmandu flight may be delayed by few hours or even cancelled due to bad weather condition. You should be prepared for such flight delays or cancellations. We will do our best to avoid such conditions. In case of flight cancellation, we will try to get you on the flight for the next day. Getting early flight for the next day may be not possible during the high season. We can arrange flight by helicopter as well with extra cost. If we have a group of 4- 5 people, we can charter helicopter for you to fly from Kathmandu - Lukla or vice versa. It will be advisable to have extra days in Kathmandu before and after the trekking. Trek Himalayan Adventure can arrange you cultural / adventure tours ( such as sightseeing tours, rafting, jungle safari, ) with extra cost if the extra days are not used for the flight conditions to Lukla and back. If the flight is delayed and cancelled for several days which could disturb your onward journey, you are free to choose trekking in Annapurna, Langtang and other regions.Great Himalayan Guide will arrange the alternative trek for you as soon as possible.
